Network / Communication Engineer – ITS Systems

Role Summary:
Responsible for communication systems including fiber optic connectivity, network integration, and IP-based data communication for ITS infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and review communication architecture for Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and Lane Control Systems (LCS).
• Design and review communication systems between field devices and central systems.
• Coordinate fiber optic connectivity and network interfaces.
• Configure Ethernet switches, SFP modules, and communication links.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of communication systems.
• Configure and support network components within DMS/LCS cabinets including:
• Ethernet switches
• SFP modules
• Patch panels and termination points
• Support communication integration with Headend Software and Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) to ensure seamless data flow between field devices and the Traffic Management Center (TMC).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.

Preferred Certifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Mandatory Experience:

• Must have worked on similar communication or ITS projects involving fiber optic networks, IP-based systems, and integration of field devices with central systems.
• Experience in network configuration, testing, and troubleshooting within infrastructure or traffic systems projects is required.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
