Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain core data centre switching across L2/L3, including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), high-availability (HSRP/VRRP), and link aggregation
- Support enterprise switching platforms (such as Aruba, Arista, or Cisco Nexus class) in a change-controlled environment
- Administer enterprise firewall and VPN platforms, including access and policy upkeep
- Monitor network health, analyse errors and counters, and triage incidents
- Execute changes within approved maintenance windows, with full ITSM evidence and rollback discipline
- Apply firmware and software updates in line with approved standards
- Support SDN administration and report configuration drift
- Maintain network documentation and utilisation reporting
Requirements
- At least 2 years in enterprise network support, including L2/L3 routing and switching in a production data centre or mission-critical environment
- Hands-on experience with firewall, VPN, and SDN administration
- CCNA and ITIL Foundation, or willingness to obtain them (certification fully sponsored by the employer)
- A strong willingness to learn, since full vendor training is provided
