With over 25 years of industry experience, we provide high-quality servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance for a wide range of passenger and light commercial vehicles. Our workshop is equipped with modern diagnostic equipment and supported by a team of experienced technicians committed to delivering reliable workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team.

Responsibility

Maintain, diagnose, service, and repair petrol and diesel vehicles, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, cooling, and air conditioning systems operate safely and efficiently. Contribute to the delivery of high-quality automotive services by providing accurate diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance for a wide range of passenger and light commercial vehicles.

Duties

The successful candidate will perform duties consistent with the role of Motor Mechanic, including but not limited to:

• Detecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical faults using specialised diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.
• Inspecting, dismantling, and removing engines, transmissions, steering systems, suspension components, braking systems, and other vehicle assemblies for assessment and repair.
• Repairing or replacing worn, damaged, or defective mechanical and electrical parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Reassembling engines, components, and vehicle systems following repairs and ensuring correct installation and operation.
• Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes, lubrication, tune-ups, battery testing, and fluid checks.
• Diagnosing and repairing brake, clutch, suspension, steering, cooling, and air conditioning systems.
• Conducting vehicle inspections and road tests to identify faults and verify repairs.
• Testing and adjusting repaired components and systems to ensure optimum vehicle performance and safety.
• Using computerised diagnostic equipment to identify faults and evaluate vehicle performance.
• Preparing service reports and documenting repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
• Assisting with roadworthy inspections and identifying repairs required to achieve roadworthy standards.
• Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment and complying with workplace health and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training
• AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

Experience:

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic.
