Job Description

T BAY INVESTMENT LIMITED are looking for a Motel Manager to join us. This is a full-time, permanent role with 30 working hours per week from Monday to Saturday. The working location is Auckland. We offer an hourly rate of $30.00-$32.00.

Some role responsibilities would include:

  • managing day-to-day motel operations to maintain seamless service and exceptional guest experiences

  • managing and supervising reservations, front office, guest reception, and housekeeping services

  • managing online booking platforms, setting room rates, monitoring occupancy, and responding to guest enquiries

  • receiving and coordinating tour group bookings;

  • overseeing staff training and rostering;

  • supervising cleanliness, property maintenance and security arrangements;

  • assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction, including responding to feedback and handling complaints;

  • reviewing daily revenue, preparing reconciliation reports, and overseeing purchasing and supplier payments;

  • ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and emergency procedures;

  • managing motel cost control, waste disposal, and other operational requirements;

  • monitoring and enforcing compliance with regulatory requirements to ensure all activities meet legal and company standards;

  • performing other duties as directed by the Employer to ensure smooth motel operations.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant Diploma or higher qualification AND

  • At least one year of relevant work experience

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturday and public holidays

  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Basic computer skills (booking systems, emails, etc.)
