Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Trained Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our vibrant team as a Toddler Teacher. Responsibilities
- Design and implement Montessori-based activities that promote independence, curiosity, and social-emotional growth among toddlers
- Observe and assess each child's developmental progress, tailoring activities to meet individual needs
- Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and Montessori methodology for toddlers
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a valuable asset for bilingual communication
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Demonstrated experience working with young children in classroom settings or childcare environments
- Familiarity with special education practices and experience supporting children with disabilities or developmental delays
- Proficient computer skills including basic operation of educational software, record keeping, and documentation tools
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage classroom materials, schedules, and documentation efficiently
- Leadership qualities with the ability to foster positive relationships within a team setting
- Strong time management skills to balance planning, supervision, and administrative duties effectively
- Writing skills for documenting observations, reports, and communication logs
