Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Millwork Designer with strong proficiency in Microvellum to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed shop drawings, 3D models, and production-ready plans for custom millwork projects. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and CNC integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed shop drawings, layouts, and 3D models using Microvellum and AutoCAD
• Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and design intent
• Prepare production-ready drawings for CNC manufacturing
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and shop teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Coordinate material selection, hardware, and construction methods
• Revise drawings based on feedback from clients, architects, and internal teams
• Ensure all designs meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Assist with troubleshooting design and production challenges

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in millwork or cabinetry design
• Advanced proficiency in Microvellum (required)
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Solid understanding of millwork construction methods and materials
• Experience with CNC machining and production workflows
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with commercial millwork projects
• Knowledge of estimating or project coordination
• Familiarity with other design software (e.g., SketchUp, SolidWorks)
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
