Job Description

The Role

We’re looking for a well-rounded Midweight Designer who’s confident across print, digital and video.

This role goes beyond traditional graphic design. You’ll work across magazines, social content, events, video and podcasts - so we need someone who’s comfortable switching between formats and enjoys variety.

You’ll be a key part of a small but highly influential creative team, with real ownership of projects and the freedom to shape how our brands evolve visually. Reporting into the Design \& Production Manager, you’ll be trusted to take responsibility for your work, contribute ideas, and make a visible impact across everything you deliver. You’ll also have ownership of specific brands and projects as part of your day-to-day responsibilities.

Centurian Media Ltd is a multi-brand B2B media business specialising in publishing and events, delivering content, marketing platforms and live experiences across the security, fire, and health \& safety sectors. We produce and publish a portfolio of well-established, widely recognised industry magazines read by senior professionals worldwide.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing editorial layouts across our monthly print and digital magazines
  • Creating digital assets for websites, newsletters and social media
  • Producing video content and motion graphics (social clips, promos, event content)
  • Supporting podcast production (audio edits, visual assets and marketing)
  • Designing event branding and collateral (signage, presentations, marketing materials)
  • Creating media packs, sales decks and campaign assets
  • Managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Collaborating with editorial and commercial teams to bring ideas to life
  • Managing client advertising deliverables, liaising directly with clients to ensure all booked content is produced accurately, on time, and to a high creative standard
  • Using AI tools where appropriate to improve efficiency and support creative output

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a design role
  • Strong skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience using Premiere Pro and/or After Effects
  • Solid layout and typography skills
  • Comfortable working across both print and digital
  • Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Confident using AI tools to support and enhance day-to-day creative workflows

Desirable:

  • Experience with video-first content or social media campaigns
  • Exposure to podcasts or audio editing
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress / Elementor
  • Experience in publishing, media or events

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
