Experience Level: 5–7 Years
Role Contribution:
Process Engineer specializing in Resin /Chemical Manufacturing to oversee and optimize
our Chemical processes. Who will be responsible for the full lifecycle of chemical plant
production—from raw material monomer handling to final product filtration and packaging.
Whose focus will be on improving product quality, efficiency, Operation Excellence, ensuring
batch consistency, and managing capital projects to upgrade our chemical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and optimize reaction cycles, Batch cycle optimization, (e.g., condensation,
addition, or emulsion polymerization) to improve throughput and reduce energy
consumption.
Prepare and review critical deliverables like Heat \& Material Balances, Process Flow
Diagrams (PFDs), and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P\&IDs).
Deep understanding of polymerization, heat transfer, distillation, and high-viscosity
fluid dynamics.
Having coordination Production, QC, R\&D stockholders to troubleshoot "off-spec"
batches and adjust process parameters to meet molecular weight, viscosity, and
solids content specifications.
Perform advanced root cause analysis (RCA) on process failures or quality
deviations and implement sustained corrective actions
Lead HAZOP or Process Hazards Analysis Or Risk Assessment studies for highly
exothermic reactions and manage the safety of hazardous raw materials (e.g., BA,
Styrene, SOFA), Process Management of Change to ensure Process Safety
Management.
Lead the transition of new chemical formulations, new product development from
pilot-scale to full-scale commercial production.
Implement the ‘Operation Excellence’ program onsite to measure /reduce the
Product conversion cost.
Capital Projects (CAPEX): Design and execute projects for new distillation columns,
filtration systems, or automated dosing skids (budgets typically ranging $50k –
$500k).
Technical Requirements:
Conduct detailed simulations using tools like Aspen HYSYS or PRO/II to identify the
bottlenecks and improve yield, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Strong skills in AutoCAD, Excel (for data interpretation), and SAP/ERP systems.
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, FMEA, and Continuous Improvement activities.
Qualifications:
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
Experience: 5 to 7 years in a resin/ adhesive/ coating/ polymer plant.
Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt or EIT/PE license is a strong plus.
Work Location: In person
