Job Description

We are looking for a MICE Manager for travel and tourism company who oversees the end-to-end planning and sales of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions. They act as a bridge between corporate clients, event planners, and suppliers (like airlines and hotels) to coordinate logistics, negotiate contracts, and drive lucrative group bookings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing both inbound and outbound MICE.
  • Revenue Projections based on rationale, assumptions, basis and working notes.
  • Primary key contact for both inbound /outbound MICE and business events.
  • Regular R\&D for new avenues and niche destinations which will entice the corporate customers, equal importance to the traditional and conventional destinations
  • Relationship Management with various groups a) internal stakeholders b) suppliers c) national tourism offices and other regulatory bodies
  • Proactively identify new account/customer, and business opportunities.
  • Manifest a Calendar of prime business events which are commercially important, target and capture some share from each of these events. Work-out a realistic mix comprising of trade fairs, exhibitions, congresses, symposiums etc.
  • Communicate value propositions to the clients through bids, proposals, quotations and programs.
  • Business / Customer acquisition -manage pipeline, sales projections and closing of sales.
  • Cultivate and nurture strong business relationship with key corporate decision makers of the corporate customers.
  • Arrange site inspection trips at probable or selected destination, evaluation of property, facilities and services.
  • Define Standard Quality Levels (SQLs), roll-out robust SOP for the service delivery covering quality checks at each of the steps.
  • Drive timely resolutions of customer issues and complaints with corrective and preventive measures, roll-out robust SOP for the service break downs and service recovery.
  • Over seas trips or travel if the business demands.
  • GAP analysis for the loss of business, and outline measures to close the gap with well defined time line.
  • Coach and guide team members an ongoing exercise with regular intervals.

Qualifications: Graduate or Post Graduate in Business or Tourism.

Experience: Minimum 8-10 experience of UAE or Gulf of Business Events and MICE with a leading travel management company.

Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, Arabic and or European Languages is an advantage.
