Medical Assistant

We are a growing, independently owned medical practice in the Clear Lake area providing personalized primary care, lifestyle medicine, weight management, hormone and sexual health services, and medical wellness \& aesthetics in a modern, patient-focused environment.

We are looking for a dependable, personable, and motivated Medical Assistant who enjoys working closely with patients and being part of a small, collaborative team. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and wants the opportunity to grow with the practice.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medications, and medical histories
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Perform blood draws and specimen collection
• Administer injections as directed by the provider
• Assist with minor in-office procedures
• Prepare and clean exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies
• Assist with medication refill requests, prior authorizations, and patient messages
• Coordinate referrals, imaging, laboratory orders, and outside records
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record
• Assist with scheduling, phones, and front-office responsibilities when needed
• Maintain HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and patient-safety standards
• Help keep daily clinic operations organized and running efficiently
• Support practice growth, community outreach, and occasional social media/marketing activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not required for the right candidate
• Strong phlebotomy skills preferred
• Comfortable administering injections
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
• Comfortable learning new technology and electronic medical records
• Professional, friendly, and confident interacting with patients
• Able to multitask in a smaller, fast-growing medical practice

Extra Consideration Given To Candidates With

• Primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, or wellness experience
• Strong phlebotomy experience
• Prior authorization or insurance experience
• Experience creating social media content, Canva graphics, photography, or short-form video
• Interest in wellness, aesthetics, weight management, or preventive medicine

Pay: $16.00 - $28.11 per hour
