Mechanical Draftsman – Projects \& Heavy Lift

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Draftsman to support our Projects and Heavy Lift operations. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, fabrication drawings, lifting plans, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Develop fabrication, assembly, structural and equipment layout drawings.
• Prepare drawings related to heavy lifting, rigging, lifting equipment and project execution.
• Review drawings, dimensions, specifications and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers, Project Engineers and site teams.
• Modify drawings based on engineering requirements and site conditions.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions and documentation.
• Ensure drawings comply with project standards, specifications and safety requirements.

Education \& Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman, preferably in Projects, Heavy Lift, Construction, Oil \& Gas or Engineering industries.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging and heavy-lift operations will be an added advantage.
• Good communication, coordination and documentation skills.
