Mechanic Apprentice

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, machinery, and automotive systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in mechanical work, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work safely in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities

• Assist senior mechanics with diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
• Learn to perform routine maintenance tasks on automotive and industrial equipment
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic schematics to identify issues and execute repairs
• Support the disassembly and reassembly of machinery following technical manuals and schematics
• Participate in safety procedures during all maintenance activities, including heavy lifting and equipment operation
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety compliance
• Gain experience in welding, electrical troubleshooting, and system inspections under supervision
• Assist with the operation of heavy equipment as needed for troubleshooting or testing purposes

Experience

• Prior dealership experience or hands-on exposure to automotive repair is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm equipment is advantageous
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, electrical components, and maintenance procedures preferred
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, or industrial equipment operation is beneficial
• Strong interest in learning about HVAC systems, electrical systems, or automotive repair is desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively with team members in a fast-paced environment
