Math/Science Tutor - a very rewarding position helping students!

*Note: Tutoring occurs in-person at our center in Clifton Park, NY.

Job Details:

· Teaching experience is preferred but not required, as we will train skilled candidates on our successful teaching methods.

· Hours are flexible; you tell us when you are available, and we will pair you with student schedules.

· There are no lesson plans, grading, or other work for you to do outside of the classroom. Our admin staff handles parent interaction and curriculum, so all you do is teach, typically on a one-to-one basis.

· Tutors will work with students on high school level Math and Science subjects, and assists students preparing for standardized test like the SAT and Regents.

· We have an excellent training program.

Huntington Learning Center has been the nation's recognized leader in the supplemental educational services industry since 1977. We offer individualized instruction for students preparing for the SAT, ACT, Regents and other Exams. We also offer individualized subject tutoring in Math, Science and many other fields.

Requirements:

· Academic strength in desired subject areas including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Physics, Earth Science, Chemistry, Biology and more.

· College Degree preferred, but other highly qualified candidates will be considered.

· Professional presentation, communication and demeanor.

· Desire to positively impact students' lives!

Schedule:

· Our summer hours are Mon-Thur 9:30am-8pm, Fri 9:30am-4pm, and Saturday 9:30am-1:30pm. During the school year, we'll be open after school and all day Saturdays.

· This is a part-time position with potential growth opportunities to a full-time teaching and admin role.

· Our tutors' weekly hours vary depending on their availability. The more availability you can provide, the more hours you will receive. Some tutors work as little as 4 hours per week and others 25 or more hours per week.
