Job Title: Materials Testing Technician
ReCon are pleased to announce the availability of the position of Materials Testing Technician to work within the Technical Team at their facility, located outside Portadown
The role
Reporting to the Technical Director the successful candidate will be required to assist with the development and implementation of new processes associated with the production of the company’s range of End of Waste products. The appointee will be required to validate that all processing and testing equipment are calibrated and operating within specification and to ensure the integrity of all the raw materials are within the correct tolerances to meet the requirements of the various end of waste processes.
Essential
· Two years’ experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
· Preference for candidates to have previously worked in an industrial setting testing concrete or soils.
· Excellent understanding and experience of preparing raw materials for incorporation into manufactured products.
· Possess a science related subject preferably Chemistry at GCSE / O Level standard or equivalent at grade C or above.
· O Level / GCSE in Mathematics at grade C or above
· Strong understanding of Health and Safety principles including risk assessment and COSHH.
· High degree of self- discipline and organizational skills
Desired
· HND or equivalent in manufacturing or Materials Science
· Experience in Process control methodology (e.g., Familiarization with the use of SPC or Run Charts)
· Experience in dealing with electronic process control systems (HMI, PLC, or Scada)
· Understanding of Lean \& six sigma principles would be advantageous.
