Master & Reference Data Management Specialist (Informatica IDMC)

Works closely with: Data Governance \& Privacy Specialist, Data Quality Specialist, Integration and Application Teams, Business Data Stewards

Location: Doha, Qatar

Role Purpose

The role holder designs, configures, and supports master data and reference data solutions on Informatica IDMC. The focus is on delivering trusted golden records and governed reference data (code sets, hierarchies and crosswalks) that are integrated with source and consuming systems and actively maintained by business data stewards.

Key ResponsibilitiesMDM Solution Delivery

• Configure MDM SaaS business entities, fields, relationships, and hierarchies for the in-scope domains (e.g., customer, supplier, product, employee, location, asset).
• Design, test, and tune match and merge rules (exact and fuzzy), trust and survivorship rules, and consolidation logic to minimize false matches and missed matches.
• Build ingress and egress jobs using Business 360 jobs and Cloud Data Integration mappings/taskflows, and real-time integrations using REST APIs and Cloud Application Integration where required.
• Configure data stewardship: workflows, tasks, merge/unmerge review, and the Business 360 user interface for stewards.

Reference Data Management (Reference 360)

• Set up and maintain reference data code sets, hierarchies, value mappings, and crosswalks between source systems (e.g., country, currency, units, organization codes, industry classifications).
• Configure approval workflows and versioning for reference data changes, and publish reference data to consuming systems.

Data Modeling \& Quality

• Profile source data and define the conceptual and logical master data model and golden record attributes with business owners.
• Embed Cloud Data Quality rules (cleansing, standardization, address and contact verification) into MDM loading processes.
• Define and report MDM metrics such as duplicate rates, match rates, stewardship backlog, and data freshness.

Governance \& Delivery

• Work with the Data Governance \& Privacy Specialist to define master and reference data policies, ownership, lifecycle (create, update, retire), and to link entities and attributes to CDGC glossary terms.
• Produce design documents and support SIT/UAT, deployment across IDMC environments (dev/test/prod), cutover, and hypercare.
• Provide level-2/3 support, performance tuning, and continuous improvement of MDM and RDM processes.

Experience \& Technical Requirements (Must Have)

• 4–7 years of experience in data management, with at least 3 years focused on master and/or reference data management.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC MDM SaaS (Business 360) and Reference 360, including at least one full-lifecycle implementation taken to production.
• Strong practical knowledge of match and merge, survivorship, hierarchy management, and data stewardship.
• At least 3 years of hands-on ETL/ELT development, including 2+ years building Informatica Cloud Data Integration mappings, taskflows, and incremental (delta) loads for MDM ingress and egress.
• Experience handling source-to-master cross-references, change data capture, and error/reject handling across multiple source systems.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica Cloud Data Quality for cleansing and standardization before matching.
• Strong SQL; working knowledge of REST APIs and JSON.
• Understanding of common master data sources such as ERP and CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce).

Desirable

• Experience with on-premises Informatica MDM (Multidomain/Hub, Customer 360, Product 360) and migration to MDM SaaS.
• Experience with Cloud Application Integration and event-based or real-time MDM integration.
• Experience with CI/CD or asset migration practices across IDMC organizations.
• English is a must; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Qualifications \& Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Preferred: Informatica IDMC certification in MDM SaaS / Business 360 or Reference 360.
• Advantageous: DAMA CDMP (Associate or Practitioner).
