The Master Esthetician plays a key role in delivering advanced skincare treatments and helping patients achieve healthy, radiant skin. This position requires a highly skilled, knowledgeable professional who is passionate about results-driven skincare and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Master Estheticians at NM Aesthetics | Wellness are expected to stay current with evolving technologies, treatments, and product innovations while actively contributing to the education and growth of the team.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Treatments
- Perform advanced skincare treatments including facials, chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments, and other aesthetic procedures offered by the Practice
- Evaluate patient skin concerns and recommend appropriate treatment plans and skincare regimens
- Educate patients on treatment options, expected results, and pre- and post-care instructions
- Deliver a safe, professional, and results-driven patient experience during every appointment
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, sanitation standards, and treatment guidelines
Documentation & Clinical Records
- Thoroughly document every treatment and patient interaction within the EMR system
- Record treatment details, products used, treatment settings, and any patient feedback or concerns
- Take appropriate clinical photos before and after treatments according to Practice protocols
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and accessible for providers and staff
Product & Device Expertise
- Maintain strong knowledge of all skincare products, devices, and treatments offered by the Practice
- Educate patients on appropriate home-care regimens and medical-grade skincare products
- Assist in recommending and selling skincare products that support treatment outcomes
- Educate providers and staff on product lines, treatment protocols, and device usage when appropriate
Professional Development & Continuing Education
- Maintain an active Master Esthetician license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to remain current on new treatments, devices, and industry advancements
- Stay informed on skincare innovations, research, and best practices within the aesthetic industry
- Continuously refine treatment techniques and service offerings
Marketing & Personal Brand Development
- Actively contribute to the growth of the Practice by marketing personal services and treatments
- Participate in creating educational and promotional content with the Practice’s marketing team
- Be willing to appear in videos, photos, and promotional materials highlighting treatments and skincare education
- Support the Practice’s marketing initiatives by promoting services, treatments, and events when appropriate
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Training and mentoring estheticians on treatment protocols, techniques, and best practices
- Assisting with ongoing skill development of new estheticians
- Educating providers and staff on skincare products, treatment protocols, and device usage
- Monitoring skincare and treatment product inventory and placing supply and product orders as needed
- Tracking retail product sales and identifying trends to optimize product performance
- Collaborating with the marketing team to develop monthly promotions, website blog posts, treatment campaigns, and product features
- Assisting leadership in evaluating and introducing new skincare products, devices, and treatment offerings
- Helping maintain high clinical standards and ensuring consistency across all esthetic services
Qualifications
- Valid Master Esthetician license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a licensed esthetician in a medical spa, dermatology, or aesthetic practice
- Experience performing advanced treatments such as facials, chemical peels, microneedling, and laser services
- Strong knowledge of medical-grade skincare products and treatment protocols
- Ability to collaborate effectively with providers, estheticians, and administrative staff
This position is structured as base pay plus commission, with commission earned on treatment services and product sales. Providers are expected to work a minimum of four days per week, including some Saturday hours and evening availability to accommodate patient scheduling needs.
