As a Marketing Project Delivery Manager at Tricel, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering a diverse portfolio of marketing projects, with a particular focus on the connection between marketing and development processes. You will ensure that all marketing initiatives are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget, while demonstrating a strong understanding of development methodologies and technologies. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong marketing channel expertise, CRM knowledge, and project management skills to deliver best-in-class marketing programmes across the full marketing mix. You will be experienced in online conversion and will actively run optimisation initiatives to ensure benchmark-level performance across all channels. You will act as the owner of all digital project execution related to design and development, continuously improving processes to ensure delivery takes place in a lean and optimised environment. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading a team that supports the department with the setup, installation, and management of marketing technology tools and products. They will work with stakeholders and end users to plan and configure systems, developing solutions that achieve the required objectives. They will oversee the deployment of programmes and systems, coordinating all parties involved to ensure a smooth process with minimal disruption. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in an agency-style environment where resources need to be managed effectively. The Marketing Project Delivery Manager will report directly to the Group Head of Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day workload of the design and development team, covering activities from minor updates to Tier 1 project rollouts.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of digital projects and associated technology infrastructure, including marketing automation and CRM integration.
- Work closely with technical teams to understand development constraints and opportunities, ensuring marketing initiatives are technically feasible.
- Take ownership of both your own platforms and the wider digital platform, safeguarding their reputation within the business and across customer groups.
- Act as the primary point of contact for counterpart marketing executives, leading future initiative pipeline readiness, resource planning, capacity estimation, and associated budgeting.
- Manage dependencies and interfaces between projects, channels, and platforms, as well as risks and issues that may affect team success, ensuring resources are used appropriately, stakeholders are kept informed, and the consequences of actions are clearly understood.
- Provide comprehensive reports on project performance, timelines, and budget.
- Analyse project outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement in future projects.
- Manage marketing standard operating procedures, including creating new SOPs, maintaining and updating existing procedures, and ensuring the marketing team remains aligned with approved SOPs.
- Onboard new Tricel Group team members to the CRM and wider marketing technology stack, ensuring they understand the relevant tools, processes, and best-practice ways of working.
- Lead cross-disciplinary programmes aimed at improving conversion across all channels used in the marketing mix, with particular emphasis on websites and other digital media.
- Lead daily team stand-ups, track risks, and help eliminate blockers.
- Build and maintain a motivated delivery team, including third-party development resources, ensuring there is an iterative plan to work towards.
- Drive the digital team to work at pace, ensuring the team remains focused on delivery commitments.
- Ensure the team collaborates effectively, communicates clearly, and focuses on the highest-priority work.
- Coach team members and colleagues, facilitate continuous improvement, and apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques for the environment.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in project management, with a strong understanding of both marketing and development processes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in project management tools and software; JIRA experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously in an agency-style setup.
- Ability to identify opportunities to deliver an excellent customer experience through project delivery.
- Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software.
- Strong analytical thinking skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in digital marketing or creative project management.
- Familiarity with the latest marketing trends and technologies.
- Expertise in CRM management; HubSpot experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience working in a cross-functional role involving marketing and software development.
- Technical understanding of web development concepts.
