Overview
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented and passionate Marketing Intern to support our Brand, Marketing and E-commerce operations.
This internship focuses primarily on E-commerce Operations while providing exposure to Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing and Campaign Execution. The intern will gain hands-on experience in managing online marketplaces, digital campaigns, livestream operations and brand marketing within a fast-growing pet retail company.
Key Responsibilities
A. E-commerce Operations (Primary Focus – 80%)
Marketplace Operations
- Upload and maintain product listings across Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada and website.
- Ensure product titles, descriptions, pricing, images and inventory are accurate and updated.
- Assist in updating promotional pricing and campaign mechanics.
E-commerce Operations Support
- Assist in daily marketplace operations and campaign execution.
- Support order fulfilment coordination with the warehouse team when required.
- Monitor product availability and highlight out-of-stock items.
Customer Support
- Assist in responding to customer enquiries through marketplace chat.
- Follow up on order issues, cancellations and basic after-sales enquiries.
- Escalate complex customer cases to the E-commerce Executive.
Livestream Support
- Assist in preparing livestream products, promotional materials and product pinning.
- Support livestream setup before, during and after live sessions.
- Assist in preparing livestream reports and sales tracking.
Data \& Reporting
- Update E-commerce reports, sales trackers and campaign performance reports.
- Assist in monitoring marketplace performance and promotional results
B. Brand \& Marketing Support (Secondary Focus – 20%)
Content Marketing
- Assist in brainstorming content ideas for TikTok social media to support product launches, promotional campaigns, and e-commerce sales.
- Support in preparing content briefs and coordinating content requirements for campaign execution.
- Coordinate with the Brand \& Marketing Executive and Creative Team to facilitate content production and ensure timely delivery.
Campaign Execution
- Support the execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Assist in roadshows, exhibitions, in-store events, and brand activation activities when required.
Market Research
- Conduct basic market and competitor research to identify industry trends and competitor activities.
- Gather insights from social media and e-commerce platforms to support campaign planning and product promotions.
C. Administrative Support
- Update marketing trackers, documents and calendars.
- Prepare presentation materials when required.
- Support cross-department coordination.
- Assist with any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Brand \& Marketing Manager.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication, E-commerce or related field.
- Strong interest in Digital Marketing and E-commerce.
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and Canva.
- Basic knowledge of Shopee, TikTok Shop or Lazada is an advantage.
- Responsible, detail-oriented and willing to learn.
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about pets is an added advantage.
- Duration: 3–6 Months (Negotiable)
