Marine Mechanic (Shipbuilding)
- Performed installation, maintenance, and repair of marine engines, propulsion systems, pumps, steering systems, and auxiliary machinery during ship construction.
- Installed and aligned diesel engines, gearboxes, shafts, propellers, and related mechanical equipment according to engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Conducted mechanical assembly, equipment commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure systems met quality and safety standards.
- Read and interpreted mechanical drawings, blueprints, and shipbuilding specifications for accurate equipment installation.
- Carried out preventive maintenance and inspections of marine mechanical systems during construction and sea trials.
- Repaired and replaced defective mechanical components, including valves, bearings, seals, and piping systems.
- Collaborated with engineers, welders, electricians, and production teams to complete shipbuilding projects on schedule.
- Used precision measuring instruments and alignment tools to ensure proper installation and system performance.
- Ensured compliance with shipyard safety procedures, classification society requirements, and quality standards.
- Maintained tools, equipment, and detailed maintenance and installation records.
