Job Description

SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS

· Main role is ensuring meets the standard of software quality.

· Work within our established QC framework to design and execute comprehensive test plan, ensuring timely delivery of defect-free software that meets both business requirements and technical requirements.

· Collaborating with development teams, business users, and stakeholders to ensure that all products adhere to company standards and procedures, while continuously improving the quality assurance processes.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop and manage comprehensive Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Data based on the business requirements, user stories, or functional/ technical specifications.

· Execute various testing types, including smoke, functional, non-functional, system, integration, and end-to-end tests according to test plan.

· Ensure test cases provide full coverage of business logic and requirements.

· Ensure that all testing is executed systematically, and all issues are logged, tracked, and re-tested.

· Ensure that all test deliverables are well-documented, maintain, and comply with company procedures and standards.

· Document test deliverables and procedures in detail, ensuring they are reusable, easy to follow, and in alignment with best practices.

· Identify, log, and track defects using defect tracking systems, ensuring timely resolution by the development team.

· Lead and facilitate Defect Triage meetings to prioritize critical defects and ensure timely fixes.

· Ensure proper handshake from SIT/QA to UAT, this includes sharing of testing documentation, Test Cases, Test Results and Defect Logs with the Business users.

· Create and maintain test daily status reports and test summary report, detailing the status of testing, including passed, failed, and blocked test cases.

· Document daily test findings, highlight and able communicate them to relevant stakeholders, providing clear insights into testing progress and defect statuses.

· Identify deviations from testing standards and propose improvements for process compliance and efficiency.

· Conduct causal analysis on defects, especially those that have escaped testing phases, and lead Test Phase Quality Reviews with stakeholders for continuous improvement.

· Act as a bridge between technical team and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that testing requirements are understood and met.

· Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives (if working in Agile) to provide testing insights and updates.

· Provide training or mentoring to junior testers or new team members.

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

· Minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on testing experience, preferably in Agile environments.

· Expertise in test management and defect management, with strong knowledge of both functional and non-functional testing.

· Proficiency in testing tools such as SauceLabs, Jira, Postman, and SoapUI.

· Strong experience in API testing, SQL, and database querying.

· Familiarity with the General and Life insurance domains (preferred).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

· Ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test reports.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical teams.

· Strong analytical and logical skills.

· Effective time and work planning abilities.

Pay: Up to RM7,300.00 per month
