We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong Java development experience who understands how modern payment ecosystems work.

We're looking for:
- 4–6 years of hands-on software development experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in Java \& Spring Boot
- Strong RESTful API development experience
- SQL / NoSQL knowledge
- Frontend exposure using AngularJS and/or React Native
- HTML, CSS \& JavaScript knowledge
- Experience with application \& database development
- Strong debugging and problem-solving ability
- Ability to communicate in Chinese and Malay
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in Fintech or Payment Services is highly preferred.

What You'll Engineer:
- Design and maintain secure, scalable payment gateway solutions
- Develop online \& offline payment capabilities
- Integrate APIs with banks, processors, wallets, QR systems and POS platforms
- Build backend payment services and user-facing portals
- Develop and maintain application \& database code
- Participate in system architecture and technical reviews
- Build secure transaction logging and reconciliation capabilities
- Support reporting functionality
- Troubleshoot production and deployment issues
- Support releases, patches, incident management \& problem resolution
- Maintain technical documentation
- Provide technical guidance to team members
- Work with Product, Compliance, Infrastructure \& Support teams
- Help ensure systems meet RMiT, PCI-DSS and applicable regulatory requirements
