A Leading Plastics Industry is looking for Manager - Factory OperationsJob Description / ResponsibilityThe Manager – Factory Operations is responsible for planning, directing, and managing overall factory operations to ensure efficient production, quality compliance, cost control, and timely delivery. The role also supports the execution of long-term and short-term operational strategies.Responsibilities:Oversee end-to-end factory operations, ensuring discipline in all aspects.Ensure proper implementation of company rules, regulations, and SOPs.Maintain operational excellence across all functional areas within the factory.Supervise plant activities to ensure productivity and efficiency targets are met.Develop and implement production plans aligned with sales forecasts using MPS (Master Production Schedule) and MRP (Material Requirement Planning).Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production targets and take corrective actions when required.Ensure uninterrupted production flow and minimize downtime.Work closely with departments such as Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and HR.Understand interdepartmental needs and ensure smooth collaboration.Resolve operational bottlenecks through effective coordination and communication.Ensure all activities comply with organizational requirements for quality management, safety standards, and environmental policies.Promote a culture of safety, ethics, and compliance.Maintain ISO standards and ensure social compliance and regulatory adherence.Guide factory teams in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.Introduce and monitor cost control methods to enhance efficiency.Identify process gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Drive Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen initiatives for productivity improvement.Monitor and guide employees to achieve individual and team targets.Build a disciplined, motivated, and high-performing workforce.Lead performance evaluations and ensure accountability across teams.Direct supervision of supervisors, engineers, and operational staff.Guide and groom the entire factory workforce.Ensure alignment of team objectives with company goals.Educational RequirementsBachelor of Science (BSc)Master of Business Administration (MBA)Skills Required: Production/ Operation Management, Health Safety and Environment, Process Development, Communication, Leadership, Cost control, Time Management, Problem solving and decision makingExperience Requirements7 to 10 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):Plastic/ Polymer IndustryJob LocationDhaka (Savar EPZ)
