FALCORE Real Estate Inc. manages a growing portfolio of residential and commercial buildings across Montreal and the South Shore. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on maintenance/handyman person to help keep our properties in great shape for our tenants.
Position Summary
The maintenance/handyman person will be responsible for general upkeep, repairs, and preventive maintenance across our building portfolio. This is a hands-on role that requires versatility, reliability, and comfort working independently across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
● Travel between multiple buildings (Montreal and South Shore) to complete work orders and scheduled maintenance
● Perform plaster and drywall repair, patching, and painting (interior and touch-up exterior)
● Complete basic plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
● Complete basic electrical repairs and troubleshooting
● Door, window, and lock/hardware adjustments and repairs
● Caulking and weatherproofing
● Tile, flooring, and baseboard repairs
● Minor carpentry
● Fixture, faucet, and hardware replacement
● Appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs
● Gutter, drain, and common-area upkeep
● Light bulb, smoke detector, and fixture replacement
● Seasonal tasks (salt/ice safety, minor exterior upkeep, etc.)
● Respond to tenant maintenance requests in a timely, professional manner
● Report on completed work, materials used, and any issues found using phone/tablet-based tools
● Communicate clearly with the property management team on job status and priorities
● Maintain a clean and organized approach to tools, materials, and work areas
Requirements
● Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance, handyman, or trades-related role
● Valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle (required to travel between buildings)
● Own set of hand and power tools
● Working knowledge of plaster/drywall repair and painting
● Working knowledge of basic plumbing
● Working knowledge of basic electrical
● Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet for work orders, photos, and reporting
● Bilingual: able to speak and understand both English and French (fluency not required)
● Spanish is an asset
● Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work independently
● Comfortable managing multiple priorities across different buildings/sites
