Maintenance Fitter

Fay Steelworks Ltd is currently seeking a skilled, reliable and motivated maintenance fitter to join our team in a busy factory setting. We are open to applications for both full-time and part-time positions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and upkeep of factory machinery, equipment and general site facilities, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out mechanical repairs.
• Responding to breakdowns and maintenance issues.
• Ensuring machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
• General maintenance and upkeep of factory equipment.
• Follow and adhere to health and safety.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a maintenance fitter or similar role.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good practical and hands-on approach.
• Welding and fabrication experience would be a distinct advantage.
