Logistics Coordinator
Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and monitoring daily logistics activities to ensure shipments, deliveries, and transportation arrangements are carried out smoothly and on time. The role involves coordinating with customers, drivers, transporters, warehouses, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure efficient movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily transportation and delivery arrangements.
- Arrange and monitor trucks, drivers, and transportation schedules.
- Monitor shipment and delivery status and provide updates to customers and relevant departments.
- Coordinate with drivers and transporters to ensure timely collection and delivery of cargo.
- Follow up on pending deliveries, delays, and operational issues.
- Ensure delivery orders, transport documents, and other relevant documents are properly prepared and maintained.
- Coordinate with warehouse, customs, customer service, and operations teams to ensure smooth shipment movement.
- Update shipment and delivery information accurately in the system.
- Handle customer enquiries regarding delivery and shipment status.
- Identify and report any operational issues or delays to the Operations Manager.
- Prepare daily logistics, delivery, and shipment reports when required.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with company procedures and customer requirements.
- Maintain proper records of transportation and delivery activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
- Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may also be considered.
Skills \& Competencies
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of logistics and transportation operations.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Able to multitask and work under pressure.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Experience with logistics or transport management systems is an added advantage.
- Able to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Responsible, proactive, and attentive to detail.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
