We're looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to take ownership of medical inventory, procurement, and distribution activities at Ohakea. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in ensuring essential medical equipment and supplies are available to support operational readiness and emergency response.

This is a sole-charge position where you'll manage the end-to-end logistics of medical stores and equipment. From forecasting and purchasing to inventory control and compliance, your work will directly support NZDF health operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage inventory levels, forecasting and provisioning (SAP)
  • Raise and manage purchase orders and supplier relationships
  • Maintain accurate stock records and complete regular stocktakes
  • Oversee warehousing operations, including temperature-controlled storage
  • Coordinate servicing and maintenance of medical equipment
  • Support the distribution and management of first aid and medical kits

Low Level Security Clearance

  • You must be a New Zealand citizen or you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa.
  • At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last five (5) years.
  • You must have a five (5) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
