Job Details

To carry out a range of landscaping tasks to create and maintain outdoor spaces to a high standard. The role involves working as part of a team on commercial, public and private sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and professionally. Job is based in Lockerbie however a van would be provided to right candidate. Would consider on the books or self employed.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to dig out, sub-base and then lay porcelain, concrete and sandstone slabs
• Construct garden walls
• Plan, sequence and execute a project efficiently
• Communicate issues/progress with customers effectively and resolve any onsite problems that may arise
• Soft landscaping (turfing, planting and plant arrangement knowledge)
• Install metal, monoblock and timber edging
• Fencing – wood, composite, concrete etc
• Working in accordance with company health and safety procedures
• Ensuring work sites are left clean and tidy each day
• Representing the company professionally at all times
• Support and guide our landscaping apprentices in their day-to-day work, leading by example and demonstrating high standards of workmanship, professionalism and safe working practices

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving license
• Capable of manual outdoor work
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as the occasional lone working
• Good awareness of health and safety practices

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience in landscaping or similar outdoor work such as building sites
• Experience operating machinery (wacker plate, digger, dumper etc.) - Tickets would be a bonus
• Qualification in Landscape construction/design

Pay: £40,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
