We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our Fertilisers team based in Werribee.

In this role, you will support product quality, compliance and customer outcomes by conducting analytical testing and delivering accurate, timely and reliable laboratory results. Working as part of a collaborative laboratory team, you will ensure testing activities are completed safely and efficiently while maintaining quality and accreditation standards.

You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the ongoing capability and effectiveness of the laboratory function.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory testing using approved methods to deliver accurate and timely analytical results
• Maintain compliance with laboratory quality systems and accreditation standards
• Ensure laboratory activities are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures and legislative requirements
• Monitor laboratory equipment, calibration schedules and quality control processes
• Record and maintain accurate laboratory data and documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality and productivity
• Assist with onboarding, training and capability development of laboratory team members where required
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support operational and customer needs

• Experience in an analytical laboratory environment (required)
• Experience within ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories (desirable)
• Experience using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) (desirable)

Qualifications and experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Science (preferably Chemistry or related discipline)
• Experience working in an analytical laboratory environment
• Experience in agricultural, environmental or industrial laboratory testing (desirable)
