**Job Overview:**

Lab Technician will assist in processing samples for lab testing, sample destruction, maintenance of inventory and all tasks associated with maintaining efficient sample flow through the lab

Typical work activities:

Tasks can vary depending on the day but typically involve:

• Performing laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to report or support scientific investigations;
• Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to carry out analyses;
• Preparing and weighing out specimens and samples;
• Constructing, maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment, for example centrifuges, titrators, pipettes and pH meters;
• Ensuring the laboratory is clean, well-stocked and resourced;
• Keeping up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability;
• Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks.

**Requirements:**

- Must be over 21 years old with a valid driver’s license

-Must pass a background check

-Skilled written and verbal communicator

-Exceptional attention to detail

-Excellent time management skills

-Ability to adapt to changes in routine and handle multiple priorities

-Lab experience

-Experience with Excel and Metrc preferred

-Must be a team-minded self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment

-Able to work independently once trained

-Team player willing to jump in and help others
