Kitchen Assistant / Server (Career Path to Chef)

Chuffin Stuffed is Moving to a new location and growing and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

We’re a fast‑paced, high‑energy street‑food brand serving quality comfort food with pride. Based in York, we’re known for our flavours, our standards, and our personality. Now we’re looking for an ambitious Kitchen Assistant / Server who’s ready to learn, work hard, and build a real career in hospitality.

What we’re looking for

• Someone with experience in a kitchen or food service environment
• Level 2 Food Safety (or willing to complete it, we’ll support you)
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Someone who wants career progression and is excited about becoming a chef
• Flexibility to work 20–45 hours per week, depending on business needs
• A friendly, confident presence — you’ll be one of the faces of Chuffin Stuffed
• A strong work ethic, you’ll also be supporting Danny, our owner and head chef, in the kitchen

• Assisting with food preparation and cooking
• Running the pass and supporting smooth service
• Serving customers with warmth and confidence
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
• Learning new skills and techniques directly from an experienced chef
• Being part of a small, tight‑knit team where your contribution genuinely matters
