Job Description

What you will do

As justice officer - stores \& canteen, you will help deliver stores and canteen services across multiple prison facilities.

You will support daily operations while maintaining accurate, timely and compliant records and processes.

You will:

  • provide high-quality stores and canteen services across the Barwon Southwest Prison Precinct
  • assist prisoners in prison shops and update records on prisoner systems
  • order stock, process prisoner purchases and help maintain stock levels
  • complete stocktakes, maintain accurate records and keep stores organised
  • deliver stock, prepare straightforward reports and support a range of corporate service functions.

About you

No formal qualifications are required. Relevant experience in stores, warehousing, retail, administration or customer service will be highly regarded. A current forklift licence is desirable.

You should also have:

  • strong skills using software and standard office equipment
  • knowledge of stock management, warehousing processes and workplace safety requirements
  • the ability to work collaboratively, stay organised and maintain accuracy under pressure
  • good interpersonal skills and a respectful approach when working with diverse people.
