Scenic Escape Ltd is looking for a Junior Scenic Carpenter to join our busy workshop team.

If you’re hands-on, practical, have a passion for carpentry and want to build a career in the live events, theatre, exhibitions and scenic production industry, this could be the role for you.

You’ll be part of a creative team producing bespoke scenic builds, event equipment and project kit for a wide range of exciting projects. No two jobs are necessarily the same, so you’ll get the chance to learn, develop your skills and get involved in different areas of the business.

What you'll be doing

* Building and preparing bespoke scenic carpentry and event equipment
* Assisting with raw materials, stock items and other materials where required
* Preparing, organising and delivering project equipment
* Working closely with the workshop team and other departments
* Occasionally working on client sites and assisting with installations
* Following all workshop, warehouse and Health \& Safety procedures
* Taking pride in producing high-quality work to exacting standards

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is:

• Hands-on and practical, with basic carpentry skills
• Reliable, hardworking and keen to learn
• Detail-focused and proud of the quality of their work
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Adaptable and happy to get stuck into different projects
• Able to work to deadlines and project requirements
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Holds a full UK driving licence

Experience in scenic, theatre, live events, exhibitions, production, workshops or warehouses is a bonus — but a genuine willingness to learn is just as important.
