Junior Pharmacist

Job Title: Junior Pharmacist

Location: Georgetown, Penang

Prescription Counterchecking (Clinical Role):

- Perform final verification of all prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness before dispensing.

- Screen for potential drug interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic duplications.

- Identify and resolve any discrepancies in medication orders.

Operations Oversight:

- Assist the current pharmacist in supervising pharmacy assistants and support staffs.

- Help plan and manage the daily workflow to ensure efficiency and minimize patient waiting times.

- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and professional standards.

Regulatory \& Licensing:

- Act as the designated responsible pharmacist for the application and maintenance of the pharmacy wholesale license with Pharmacy Board.

- Ensure all activities related to pharmaceuticals comply with the Poisons Act 1952 and other relevant regulations.

Stock Management \& Emergency Response:

- Manage the process of stock loans between hospitals, ensuring legal and safe transfer of medications.

- Assist in inventory control to prevent shortages and manage expiry dates.

Other Duties:

- Participate in clinical governance and audit activities.

- Provide pharmaceutical information and advice to medical staff and patients as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or equivalent qualification.
• Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board Malaysia.
• Possess valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
