Junior Interior Designer

We are looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join our collaborative and fast-paced studio. This is an opportunity for an emerging designer to gain hands-on experience across hospitality and retail projects, develop technical and design skills, and work alongside experienced designers from concept through implementation.

The ideal candidate is curious, organized, collaborative, and eager to learn. You will contribute to projects at every stage while developing your ability to communicate, problem-solve, and bring thoughtful design ideas to the team.

Education / Experience

• Post-secondary education in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related design discipline
• 0–3 years of experience in the design industry; relevant or transferable experience will be considered
• General understanding of retail and hospitality design
• Demonstrated interest in developing a career in interior design
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of meeting and presentation software such as Teams, Zoom, or similar platforms

Technical Skills

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Familiarity with REVIT and an interest in further developing Revit skills
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Autodesk Build, and SmartSheet
• Ability to produce accurate drawings, layouts, presentations, and supporting project materials
• Understanding of construction drawing packages and the relationship between Interior Design and consultant drawings is an asset

As a Junior Designer, you will:

Participate in projects across all stages, from concept development through implementation

Support Senior and Intermediate Designers with design development, documentation, presentations, and project coordination

Collaborate with internal studio disciplines and external consultants to support the successful delivery of projects

Assist with design research, material selections, presentations, drawing packages, and other project deliverables

Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities as project needs evolve

Ask questions, seek feedback, and actively apply learning to improve design and technical skills

Participate in client, stakeholder, consultant, and Airport Authority presentations as appropriate

Contribute ideas and solutions that support both the project and the broader studio

Stay current with emerging design, hospitality, retail, and industry trends

Pay: $48,000.00-$64,000.00 per year
