About The Cutting Studio

The Cutting Studio is a fashion development and production studio based in M7, Msheireb Downtown Doha. We work with emerging designers, fashion brands, and creative entrepreneurs to develop garments from concept to finished product.

Our services include design development, pattern making, sampling, tailoring, and small-batch production. We are part of the creative ecosystem at M7, supporting the growth of fashion and design in Qatar.

Position Overview

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and motivated Arabic-speaking Junior Fashion Designer to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about fashion design and interested in developing strong technical and practical experience within a professional fashion studio.

The Junior Fashion Designer will support the design and product development process, working closely with designers, pattern makers, tailors, and the production team.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in developing fashion concepts, mood boards, colour palettes, and design research.

* Create fashion sketches, technical drawings, and digital illustrations.

* Support the preparation of design specifications and tech packs.

* Assist with fabric and trim research, sourcing, selection, and organisation.

* Work closely with pattern makers and tailors during sampling and garment development.

* Participate in fittings, record comments, and support design revisions.

* Maintain design files, fabric swatches, samples, and project documentation.

* Prepare visual presentations for clients and internal project reviews.

* Follow current fashion trends, materials, techniques, and market developments.

* Support multiple projects while meeting agreed deadlines and quality standards.

* Assist with workshops, client projects, and other studio activities when required.

Qualifications and Skills

* Degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.

* Up to two years of relevant experience; strong graduates and candidates with internship experience are welcome to apply.

* Fluency in Arabic is required.

* Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

* Strong fashion sketching and illustration skills.

* Basic understanding of garment construction, fabrics, pattern making, and the product development process.

* Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

* Knowledge of technical drawings and tech packs is an advantage.

* Creative, organised, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.

* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced studio environment.

Pay: From QAR4,000.00 per month
