About Us
Sud Café and Petrichor are two distinct restaurant concepts in Vancouver, both growing and looking to build stronger, more intentional brands. We're at a stage where we know what we want each concept to feel like — we just need someone who can help bring that to life consistently, creatively, and with an eye on what actually drives foot traffic and sales.
About the Role
We're looking for a junior marketing/brand person to work directly with the owner on growing both brands. This isn't a "just post to Instagram" job — we want someone who wants to learn the business side of hospitality marketing too: what actually brings people in, how promotions perform, how brand identity plays out across two different concepts. You'll have real input, not just execution work.
This is a great fit for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience shaping real brands, with a path to grow into a bigger role (marketing lead, brand manager) as the business grows.
What You'll Work On
- Social media content and calendar for both Sud Café and Petrichor (photo/video content, captions, scheduling)
- Local promotions, events, and partnership ideas
- Helping keep each brand's visual identity and voice consistent across channels
- Basic performance tracking (what's working, what's not) and reporting back with simple takeaways
- Brainstorming with the owner on brand positioning, seasonal promotions, and — down the line — potential new concepts
What We're Looking For
- Genuine interest in food, hospitality, and brand-building (formal marketing degree not required — a strong portfolio or examples of work you're proud of matter more)
- Comfortable with content creation: photography/video basics, writing captions with personality, using scheduling tools
- Organized and reliable — able to keep a content calendar running without heavy oversight
- Curious and business-minded — you want to understand why something works, not just execute tasks
- Based in or near Vancouver, able to be on-site regularly (menus, events, and photo content happen in person)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Canva, Adobe tools, or similar
- Prior experience (even informal) with a restaurant, café, or small local brand
- Currently studying or recently graduated from a marketing/hospitality program
What You'll Get
- Direct mentorship and real ownership over brand decisions — not busywork
- A flexible part-time schedule to start, with the opportunity to grow with the business
- A close look at how a small hospitality group actually runs and grows
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Benefits:
- Casual dress
- Flexible schedule
