About JH Joinery \& Construction

Due to continued expansion and the delivery of our business growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced and driven On-Site Joiner to join our team.

We deliver truly transformational construction and joinery projects, with a strong focus on design, craftsmanship and quality.

As we celebrate our 10th anniversary as a limited company this year, this is an exciting time to join JH Joinery and Construction and become part of the next chapter of our continued growth.

This full-time role will involve first and second fix joinery across high-end residential, commercial and public sectors projects, the installation of bespoke fitted furniture.

The successful candidate will work across a variety of projects, including home extensions, structural alterations, renovations and general works. Working closely with our wider construction and joinery teams, you will play an important role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out first and second fix joinery across a range of high-end residential and commercial projects
  • Install kitchens, doors, door sets, fire doors, staircases, wall panelling and bespoke fitted furniture
  • Work from drawings and specifications to ensure work is completed accurately and to the required standard
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of workmanship, with excellent attention to detail
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of the wider team
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, subcontractors and the team
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures

Requirements

  • Qualified joiner with proven industry experience
  • Strong experience in both first and second fix joinery
  • Experience working on residential and commercial construction projects
  • Experience installing bespoke or high-quality fitted furniture would be advantageous
  • Able to demonstrate a high standard of previous workmanship
  • Confident using a wide range of hand and power tools
  • Able to read and work from drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence

Salary: £38,000, depending on experience.

Working hours: Monday 7:00am–4:00pm, Tuesday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm.
