We have a number of restaurants in the Otago region and are seeking Cook’s to join
our kitchen team. We are looking for dedicated and flexible team members to join
our dynamic team across the Central Otago region. The successful candidate will
work across our restaurant venues, with shifts assigned based on a roster. This is a
fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is eager to contribute to
the success of all locations.
The pay range for this role is between $24 - $28.50 per hour depending on
experience.
We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week.
We require the successful candidate to have a minimum of 1-years relevant work
experience.
Duties will include:
Preparing and cooking under the instruction of more senior members of
kitchen team including the head chef and sous chef.
Examining food to ensure quality.
Ensuring food is properly seasoned in line with restaurant standards.
Portioning food out and plating it up in line with restaurant standards and
under the supervision of the head chef and sous chef.
Ensuring all food is correctly stored and is of sufficient quality.
Preparing food in line with menu requirements and considering dietary
requirements.
Working alongside other kitchen staff and the front of house team to ensure
customer satisfaction.
Supervising junior kitchen staff and providing training and mentorship where
required.
Assisting the head chef in menu planning and estimation of food requirements
Pay: $24.00 – $28.50 per hour
