Responsibilities

• Supervise children during before and after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and creativity
• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement
• Assist with homework help, tutoring, or educational activities tailored to individual student needs
• Follow first aid protocols and be prepared to respond promptly to medical emergencies using CPR or AED when necessary
• Collaborate with other staff members to plan and execute age-appropriate programs that align with developmental goals
• Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports to ensure smooth program operations

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or youth programs is highly preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices
• Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED operation; willingness to obtain or renew certifications as needed
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavioral challenges effectively
• Experience working with children with special needs or in special education settings is a plus
• Ability to engage children through creative activities such as theater, sports coaching, or arts and crafts
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to working with youth from diverse backgrounds
