Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Test Manager to lead end-to-end testing activities for banking technology projects and programs. The role is responsible for defining testing strategy, managing test delivery, ensuring software quality, and coordinating testing across multiple banking platforms while maintaining compliance with regulatory and security standards.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in banking systems, test governance, stakeholder management, test automation, and release management.
Key ResponsibilitiesTest Strategy \& Planning
- Define and implement overall testing strategy and test governance framework.
- Prepare test plans, schedules, resource allocation, and testing milestones.
- Establish quality standards and testing KPIs across projects.
- Ensure testing aligns with SDLC and release management processes.
Test Management \& Delivery
- Manage end-to-end testing lifecycle:
- SIT (System Integration Testing)
- UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
- Regression Testing
- Performance Testing
- Security Testing
- Production Verification
- Coordinate testing across multiple applications and integrated banking systems.
- Monitor testing progress and report defects, risks, and quality metrics.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with:
- Business users
- Product Owners
- Development teams
- Infrastructure teams
- Vendors
- PMO
- Facilitate test execution workshops and defect triage sessions.
- Provide regular updates to project governance committees.
Defect \& Quality Management
- Manage defect lifecycle and prioritization.
- Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Ensure defect closure before production deployment.
Automation \& Process Improvement
- Promote test automation initiatives.
- Establish reusable testing frameworks and best practices.
- Improve testing efficiency and release quality.
Governance \& Compliance
- Ensure compliance with banking policies, audit requirements, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory expectations.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 8–15 years of IT experience.
- Minimum 5 years in Test Management / QA Leadership.
- Experience delivering testing in banking or financial services environments.
