Position Overview

Sirb Productions is seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to provide technical support and maintain the company's IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of technology systems that support film production, animation, post-production, digital media, and business operations.

Working closely with production teams, editors, animators, and corporate staff, the IT Support Specialist will resolve hardware, software, network, and audiovisual technology issues while helping maintain secure, efficient, and dependable IT services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other IT peripherals.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, and other business applications.
• Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), wireless networks, internet connectivity, and network infrastructure.
• Manage user accounts, passwords, permissions, email services, and access requests.
• Support hardware and software used in video editing, animation, visual effects, and digital content creation.
• Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, operating system upgrades, and security patch management.
• Configure and troubleshoot servers, storage systems, backup solutions, and cloud-based services.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimise operational disruptions.
• Assist in implementing data backup, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and endpoint protection practices.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventories, technical documentation, service records, and support logs.
• Coordinate with external vendors for hardware procurement, maintenance, licensing, and technical support as required.
• Support IT infrastructure upgrades, technology projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote compliance with company IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and data protection requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Experience providing technical support within a corporate, media, production, or creative environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365, and standard business applications.
• Familiarity with networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches.
• Experience with Active Directory, cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS), and virtualization technologies is considered an advantage.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, endpoint protection, backup solutions, and disaster recovery practices.
• Familiarity with media production systems and creative software environments is beneficial.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent are desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide effective technical support in a fast-paced creative and production environment.
