IT Support Specialist – Food & Beverage Industry
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and service-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our growing Company. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day technical support across restaurants, outlets, central kitchen, and office operations, ensuring that POS systems, computers, printers, networks, software, and related IT equipment run smoothly with minimal disruption to business operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical issues, supporting fast-paced operations, and working closely with restaurant teams, managers, and vendors to keep systems operational during service hours.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide first-line technical support to restaurant, outlet, kitchen, and office users for hardware, software, network, email, and system-related issues.
· Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, scanners, tablets, POS terminals, kitchen display systems, payment devices, and other IT equipment.
· Support POS system operations, including user access, menu updates, printer routing, connectivity issues, and coordination with POS vendors when needed.
· Respond promptly to urgent IT issues that may impact restaurant operations, customer service, or payment processing.
· Monitor and maintain internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, LAN, routers, switches, CCTV/NVR systems, and basic network infrastructure.
· Create and manage user accounts, permissions, passwords, email access, and system access for new and existing employees.
· Perform regular system updates, backups, antivirus checks, and basic cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.
· Document support requests, resolutions, recurring issues, assets, warranties, and vendor communications.
· Assist with IT setup for new outlet openings, relocations, renovations, or system upgrades.
· Train staff on basic IT procedures, POS usage, printer troubleshooting, and safe technology practices.
· Coordinate with external vendors, internet service providers, software providers, and equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues.
· Maintain IT inventory, including devices, licenses, spare parts, accessories, and replacement equipment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum 1–3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, technical support, or a similar role.
· Experience supporting POS systems, restaurant technology, hospitality systems, or retail systems is highly preferred.
· Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, email setup, printers, basic networking, and troubleshooting tools.
· Understanding of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, IP configuration, and basic network diagnostics.
· Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, printer, and peripheral device issues.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
· Ability to work under pressure, prioritize urgent issues, and respond quickly during operational peak hours.
· Willingness to visit multiple outlets as required.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts when operational needs require.
Preferred Skills:
· Hands-on experience with restaurant POS systems, kitchen display systems, receipt printers, barcode scanners, payment terminals, and handheld ordering devices.
· Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, access control, attendance systems, and restaurant back-office applications.
· Familiarity with IT asset management, ticketing systems, remote support tools, and vendor coordination.
· Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar are an advantage.

Work Location and Schedule:
