We are now inviting applications for the above position within the Digital Technology Team in Tramore Rd, Cork City. We are seeking a technically strong IT Product Owner, with high energy and excited about working in a fast paced, dynamic, digital environment

  • This is initially a 24 month contract role and can be based in Cork or Dublin

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading Aggregators POD comprising of IT BA’s, QA’s and development teams
  • Creating and maintaining an excellent and collaborative team environment.
  • Working closely with our vendors including Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo along with our internal development teams to prioritise, help solution, test and ultimately release improvements to existing and new digital products into the market.
  • Managing the relationship and working with key internal business stakeholders to deliver products that align with the company strategy.
  • Manage the Aggregators Backlog and Prioritisation of all of the deliveries.
  • Work with our numerous stakeholders to agree and define that prioritisation.
  • Assist the Head of Retail Digital IT to define and maintain the IT Digital Strategy for Aggregators.
  • Keep up to date with latest related Digital Technologies, competitor analysis and trends in the market.
  • Clearly communicate the Team deliveries to the wider Musgrave team.
  • Applying working knowledge of software quality concepts within the software development lifecycle.
  • Communicating with colleagues to understand the requirements of the organisation and its individual departments.
  • Overseeing and supporting the implementation of new systems.
  • Applies in-depth working understanding of standards and methods to comply/enforce the standards in day to day tasking.

What we are looking for:

  • A 3rd level degree qualification in a computer related discipline with a minimum of 7 years working in an IT environment.
  • A good Team manager who is able to create and maintain a great team culture and dynamic.
  • Experience in a Senior IT Product or Programme Manager role for 5+ years.
  • Extensive experience of working with Digital Products and Digital development is mandatory for this role.
  • Experience of working within the Software Development Lifecycle is essential.
  • A history of successfully delivering digital products into the market.
  • Exceptional ability to position and “sell” solutions that are reasonable, actionable, and cost-effective, including the ability to properly gauge the requirements and “plug” the appropriate solution.
  • A history of working with various stakeholders to agree and prioritise multiple deliveries.
  • A good multitasker who is able to prioritise and work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal \& self-organizing skills and an ability to build relationships with relevant stakeholders.
