IPM Specialist- Cannabis Cultivation (Alcochete, Portugal)

Are you passionate about plant health and cutting-edge agricultural technology? Join our growing team in Alcochete as an IPM Specialist and play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of plant protection in our state-of-the-art cannabis greenhouses.

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional to lead our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) efforts, balancing biological controls with precise phytosanitary treatments to ensure premium crop quality.

Main Responsibilities

Monitor & inspect : Perform and verify detailed inspections for pests and diseases.

Action & Application: Prepare and apply (or supervise) beneficial insects and plant protection products.

Plan & Coordinate: Manage treatment calendars, coordinate with cultivation teams, and ensure all materials/stock are ready for seamless operations.

Analyze & Improve: Track KPIs, correlate monitoring data with treatment results, and proactively research emerging threats and solutions.

Compliance: Maintain meticulous records and documentation in line with GACP guidelines and safety protocols.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.

Certification: Valid Pesticide Applicator License.

Languages: English proficiency (Level B2).

Tech Savvy: Intermediate Microsoft Office skills for data tracking and reporting.

Knowledge: Familiarity with GACP standards; previous experience in the cannabis industry is highly desired.

Soft Skills: A resourceful problem-solver and team player who thrives in an organized, fast-paced environment.
