  • Investigate inventory variances: Research count discrepancies, document likely causes, and submit adjustment requests or escalation details for approval according to inventory control procedures.
  • Support replenishment activities: Monitor low-stock, min/max, Kanban, shortage, and general replenishment signals and communicate requirements to Purchasing or the appropriate supervisor according to approved ordering procedures.
  • Report on inventory operations: Provide clear updates on order progress, stock availability, receiving issues, inventory discrepancies, transfer issues, and order fulfillment concerns.
  • Organize and label inventory: Apply approved part numbers, labels, bin IDs, and location identifiers; flag missing, incorrect, or unclear part information or master data for correction through the approved process.
  • Maintain warehouse stock and space: Keep racks, bins, totes, pallets, quarantine areas, staging areas, and storage locations clean, safe, organized, and easy to identify.
  • Handle materials safely: Load, unload, sort, move, stage, and deliver materials manually or using approved material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, or utility vehicles.
  • Verify deliveries and shipments: Accept, count, and note the condition of parts and materials for incoming, outgoing, internal, and inter-location shipments.
  • Support inventory planning inputs: Provide inventory accuracy, usage, shortage, and stock movement information to support purchasing, production planning, warehouse forecasting, and inventory control decisions.
  • Ensure safety and housekeeping: Follow and support safety requirements, PPE expectations, equipment rules, 5S/visual management practices, and clean work area standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Inventory, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Logistics, Maintenance, and other teams to resolve material flow, shortage, quality, and inventory accuracy issues.
