International Trade Manager

Job Summary
STB Colombia MENA is seeking a strategic and results-driven International Trade Manager to lead cross-border commercial operations, import/export compliance, trade corridor expansion, and supply chain logistics between Colombia, Latin America, and the MENA (Middle East \& North Africa) region. Reporting directly to the Regional Managing Director, you will manage international vendor and buyer agreements, optimize duty/tariff structures, ensure strict customs regulatory compliance, and drive revenue growth across key international trade routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade Operations \& Strategy: Direct international import/export strategies, trade execution, and commercial transactions linking Latin American producers with MENA market distribution channels.
- Regulatory \& Customs Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with regional trade regulations, customs clearance frameworks, free-zone rules, certificates of origin, and international trade laws (GCC Customs, Colombian DIAN, and trade agreements).
- Vendor \& Buyer Management: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with global suppliers, distributors, ocean/air freight carriers, and local logistics partners across both regions.
- Contract \& Incoterms Negotiation: Negotiate international supply contracts, pricing structures, shipping terms (Incoterms 2020), and payment arrangements (Letters of Credit, Trade Finance) to safeguard company margins and minimize risk.
- Market Expansion \& Business Development: Identify emerging product demand trends, evaluate new market entry strategies, and build trade pipelines across target Arab and Latin American commercial sectors.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with logistics and finance teams to track transit lead times, reduce freight costs, optimize inventory turnover, and manage currency exchange and commodity price risks.
Qualifications \& Requirements
- Experience: 6+ years of progressive leadership in international trade, global logistics, cross-border business development, or export management, with explicit experience in LATAM or MENA commercial trade corridors.
- Regulatory Mastery: Deep understanding of international trade laws, customs documentation, Incoterms 2020, trade finance mechanisms (LCs, Escrow, Guarantees), and international shipping logistics.
- Skills: Strong commercial negotiation skills, financial acumen, cross-cultural relationship management, and risk mitigation expertise.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Trade, Global Logistics, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Languages: Professional fluency in English and Spanish is required; working knowledge of Arabic is a distinct advantage.
