As our company continues to expand its interior design services, we are seeking a creative, organized, and client-focused Interior Designer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on distinctive residential projects from concept through completion while collaborating closely with clients, architects, builders, and vendors.

Position Overview

The Interior Designer will be responsible for assisting clients with interior selections, finish coordination, space planning, furnishing concepts, and overall design direction for custom homes and remodeling projects. This individual will help create cohesive, elevated interiors while ensuring selections align with project budgets, timelines, and construction requirements.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces.

Key Responsibilities

Interior Design \& Selections

  • Guide clients through the selections process for custom homes and renovations
  • Assist with finish selections including flooring, tile, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, lighting, hardware, paint colors, and wall coverings
  • Develop cohesive interior design concepts and presentation materials
  • Create mood boards, finish palettes, and furnishing concepts
  • Assist with furniture, rug, window treatment, and décor selections
  • Prepare detailed selections documentation and specifications for construction teams

Client Experience

  • Conduct client meetings and selections appointments
  • Help clients make informed design decisions while balancing aesthetics, functionality, and budget
  • Maintain clear and professional communication throughout the design process
  • Provide a high-touch, luxury client experience from start to finish

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with architects, project managers, estimators, and vendors
  • Ensure selections are made in a timely manner to support project schedules
  • Review plans and elevations for design consistency and functionality
  • Assist with ordering, tracking, and managing selections and furnishings when applicable
  • Participate in project walkthroughs and site visits as needed

Design \& Marketing Support

  • Assist with model homes, staging, and company design presentations
  • Support social media and marketing efforts through project photography, design content, and material boards
  • Stay current on design trends, materials, furnishings, and industry innovations

Qualifications

  • Degree in Interior Design or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of interior design experience preferred
  • Experience in residential construction, remodeling, or custom homes strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of interior finishes, materials, furnishings, and space planning
  • Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Archicad, or similar programs preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and presentation software
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
