Experienced Interior Designer

An exciting full-time position has become available for a highly motivated and experienced Interior Designer within our busy Interior Design Department here at Andersons of Inverurie.

We are expanding our design team and looking for someone creative to join.

The role would involve advising and inspiring clients both on the shop floor and in our design studio as well as creating colour schemes, develop visual concepts and presentations for window dressings, upholstery, wallpaper, flooring, furniture and giving technical advice. Working on both commercial and residential projects both independently and with fellow designers, also liaising with colleagues in our other departments. Helping with the day to day functioning of the department. Responsibility for your clients project from consultation to completion.

The applicant should be reliable and willing to help with all tasks as required. They should be able to multi-task, be highly organised and possess good communication skills (both written and verbal).

Profile:

Qualification in Interior Design or Textile Design preferred

Minimum of 2 years industry experience

A keen interest in soft furnishings

A passion for interior design and a creative flair

Knowledge of basic sewing

Good written skills

Good IT skills

Proactive problem solving

Proficient in ACE for windows preferable but not essential

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Work well within a team

5 days per week on a rota basis, includes weekends.
