Intake & Assessment Clinician - Te Whare Marie CAMHS

Contract: Permanent, Part Time (0.8 FTE)

About the Role

This role is to review and triage referrals; you will be an active member of the team and will liaise as necessary with other intake clinicians within the sector. You will be reviewing non-urgent referrals from a variety of sources in the community, liaising with relevant services to ensure Whaiora receive safe, high quality and equitable care.

• Facilitate access to a wide range of Mental Health and Addiction services
• Conduct mental health assessments with young people (0'17 years) and their families
• Provide timely crisis response to ensure urgent needs are met.
• Collaborate with your team, GPs, other mental health and addiction teams, and a range of community providers.
• Ensure care is safe, high-quality, and equitable for every young person and their whānau.

Salary for this role is MECA, determined by experience Allied $79,014 - $110,290K/ Nursing $77,667 -$109,407K

About the Team/Service/ Location

Te Whare Marie offers effective and appropriate assesment, treatment and care management to Tangata Whaiora and Whanau in a cultural setting, through a cultural lens. We are commited to providing regular clinical and cultural supervision, we support professional career pathways and provide regular in service training.

Te Whare Marie CAMHS, is for Tangata Whaiora from birth to up to 20 years and their whanau. The service is primarily community based.

About you

We're looking for a registered mental health professional (Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker) who:

• Has 5+ years DHB mental health experience
• Holds a current practicing certificate
• Is skilled in assessments, risk evaluation, and crisis response
• Enjoys working with children, adolescents, and whanau
• Is confident working within a team environment and independently.
• Thrives in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment
