Heavy Duty Commercial Technician Responsibilities:

• Review repair orders, work orders, and notes to fully understand required repairs prior to starting work.
• Perform Pre‑Delivery Inspections (PDI) to ensure vehicles meet quality and safety requirements before returning to service.
• Conduct Red DOT safety inspections to verify compliance with DOT safety standards.
• Assist with CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) vehicle inspections, systems check, and related repair processes as required.
• Perform inspection, diagnosis, and replacement of fan clutches/hubs Inspect fifth wheel, perform DOT-compliant brake inspections.
• Use OEM software/tools (e.g., Cummins INSITE, Detroit DDDL, Bendix ACom, WABCO Toolbox, Eaton) to run tests, calibrations, and updates.
• Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Perform a final quality inspection and review the completed work order before the vehicle moves to the detailing department.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of manufacturer repair procedures, technical processes, and OEM specifications

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of OEM repair methods and industry-standard repair practices
• CNG inspection or repair experience preferred
• Ability to perform PDI processes and Red DOT safety inspections

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 \& 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility
• Valid driver license
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, \&/or ASE certifications are preferred \& rewarded
